1. PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) — Live from Aug 1st

2. Lakhpati Didi Sammelan & "Namo Drone Didi"

1. Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan (PM-JUGA)

  • Goal: Holistic development of 63,000 tribal-majority villages.
  • Tribal Homestays: On August 11, the Ministry of Tourism issued guidelines to develop Homestays in Tribal Areas to create alternative livelihoods.
  • Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Management: New Centres of Competency were established in August specifically to manage SCD in remote tribal belts.

 

2. Revised Guidelines for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) issued a significant update on August 4, 2025.

2. SMILE & NAMASTE Updates

  • Project SMILE: The ministry reported that as of August 2025, over 7,500 individuals engaged in begging have been rehabilitated in 181 cities.
  • NAMASTE Scheme: August saw the distribution of specialized Cleaning Robots and safety gear to 500 municipalities to ensure "Zero Deaths" in sewer cleaning.

  • National Review: A national "Chintan Shivir" was held on August 28–29 in New Delhi to streamline the DBT process for SC/OBC scholarships, ensuring no student faces a delay due to e-KYC issues.
